Dr. Lyudmil Blagoev is an orthopedist and traumatologist with over 30 years of experience. He is a specialist in the following areas:

scoliosis;
hyperkyphosis in Scheuermann’s disease;
hyperkyphosis in Bekhterev’s disease;
cervical spine operations for degenerative changes or disc herniations;
operations on lumbar vertebrae in degenerative diseases and stenosis of the spinal canal;
scoliosis deformities in adult patients with degenerative changes and stenosis.

Education
He graduated from the Medical University of Sofia with a specialty in Orthopedics and Traumatology.

Qualifications
Member of the Bulgarian Medical Union;
Participation in national and international congresses and seminars in the specialty.
Biography
After university, Dr. Blagoev worked as an emergency physician at the District Hospital in the town of Samokov. For one year he was part of the Department of Pediatric Traumatology at N. I. Pirogov UMBALSM, and until 2003 he worked at N. I. Pirogov UMBALSM. In 2003, he became an assistant in orthopedics at the Usedom Rehabilitation Clinic, Heringsdorf in Germany. Since 2008, he has been practicing at the Center for Spinal Surgery – German Scoliosis Center, Werner Wicker Clinic, and is currently the head of the department at the clinic. At the moment, he is also part of the team of specialists of DKC Vita.
